More Healthy Juices!!!

Hello everyone!

I was quite impressed by the way you all responded to my last post on healthy juices. It's exciting to know that a lot of people are on a quest to living a sustainable healthy lifestyle.
There are so many good and beneficial things that comes from eating fruits and vegetables,  there are so many nutrients hidden in them, that makes them nature's little health bomb. Turning these fruits and vegetables into juices is one of the most convenient and effective ways to harvest all the good things that comes with them and that is because all the nutrients and vitamins are preserved when we juice our fruits and vegetables raw, nothing is destroyed by heat and cooking.

Here are some more homemade healthy juices you would love:

Carrot + Ginger + Apple = It helps boost and cleanse your system

Bitter gourd + Milk + Apple = It helps prevent bad breath and reduces internal body                                                          heat

Tomato + Carrot + Apple  = It improves skin complexion and eliminates bad breath

Carrot  + Apple  + Pear + Mango = It reduces body heat, counteracts toxicity, fights                                                                     oxidation and decreases blood pressure

Pineapple + Watermelon + Apple = It helps to dispel excess salts and it also nourishes                                                                 the bladder and kidneys

Cucumber + Celery + Apple = It lowers cholesterol level in the body, helps in the                                                                 prevention of cancer and it also helps to eliminate upset                                                       stomach & headache

The more I learn about juices, the more I want to encourage people to make juices at home. If you want to get the best out of fruits and vegetables in a form of  juices then you have to make them yourself.  Most of the store bought juices have been processed, concentrated,  extracted, dried and mixed again with water. Artificial flavors, artificial colours and taste enhancers were added as well as other different conservatives and additives. Even the best 100% pure store-bought juice cannot be compared to a freshly homemade one.

I hope the healthy juices posts have been very educative and impactful. Would love to know how many of them you tried or intend to try. As usual, remember to drop your feedbacks, comments and questions in the comment box below.

Healthy Juices

Hey lovelies!

Raw vegetable and fruit juices are now scientifically proven to have no equal as far as human diet is concerned. Proper or balanced diet is the greatest single factor in the maintenance of good health. It is not the food in your life that counts but the life in your food that is of primary importance.

A safe rule to have vital and nutritive food is the juice of fruits and vegetables in their fresh form. One must be very clean while preparing these juices. Juices are great healers only when cleanliness is maintained in handling, selecting and crushing of fruits and vegetables.  The good fruits and vegetables not spoiled, discoloured or rotten must be washed in cold water first and possibly washed a second time with warm water to remove the remains of insecticides used during preservation. Always ensure that juices are prepared in a clean and tidy environment.
Besides the conventional individual natural fruit and vegetable juices like carrot juice, lemon juice, tomato juice, cabbage juice, beetroot juice etc , that we are quite familiar with,  they are other ways we could combine these fruits and vegetables for a more delicious taste and for better nutritional benefits. Here are some easy-to-prepare healthy juices you could try :

Banana + Pineapple + Milk = It is rich in vitamins, nutritious and it helps prevent                                                              constipation

Honeydew + Grapes + Watermelon + Milk = It is rich in vitamin C and vitamin B2                                          which helps increase cell activities and strengthens body immunity

Pawpaw/Papaya + Pineapple + Milk = It is rich in vitamin C, E and Iron. It also                                                                                    improves metabolism and skin complexion

Pear + Banana = It helps regulate blood sugar content

Apple + Cucumber + Kiwi = It helps to improve skin complexion

Orange + Ginger +Cucumber = It helps reduce body heat and improves the skin                                                                 texture & moisture

Exfoliate! Exfoliate!! Exfoliate!!!

Hello everyone! How was your week?

Last week, a friend asked me why we are still on the skincare regimen and not on healthy food/ juices and weight loss regimen yet? And i was  like, "Well, one of the easiest ways to improve your looks is to focus on good skincare."
Skin exfoliation is one of the basic steps to a flawless skin. Whether you have an oily skin, dry or combination skin, by exfoliating you clear out all dead skin cells.
Exfoliation is the process of removing the top layer of your skin. Our skin cells are in constant state of renewal; from new cells to old then they die eventually and shed. Without proper exfoliation, these dead skin cells can accumulate on the skin surface trapping debris and dirts in between and also creating a dull lack lustre quality to the skin.
It is essential to remove this dead cell layer regularly to allow the healthy cells to rise to the surface thereby giving the skin a healthy glow and natural radiance.
Today, we are making the Lemon/Sugar scrub. It's perfect for exfoliating dead skin cells and giving your skin an instant clear up & glow.

Ingredients :
- Two (2) teaspoons of Lemon juice
- Two (2) teaspoons  of Sugar/ Brown sugar

Method :
- Mix the lemon juice and sugar together
- Gently massage the mixture in a circular motion on your face, neck, hands, elbows and knees
- Leave it on for 10 minutes and then rinse off with lukewarm water
- Do this once a week to enjoy glowing skin

P.S-  Check my previous post for a tip on how to get maximum juice from lemon.

See you all soon
